Instagram Posts Are Now Searchable on Google

Starting July 10, 2025, Instagram’s public content from professional accounts (creator or business, 18+) will begin showing up in Google search results. Yes, your Reels, carousels, and posts are now search indexable — outside the app.
For years, Instagram content lived in a walled garden. Now, it’s stepping onto the open web.
But only if you want it to: you’ll need to opt in via a new Search Engine Indexing setting in account privacy.
